Have you heard of Cheese and Whiskers Email marketing?
I had never heard of this before until I sat through some training many months ago, after some testing this does really work.
Looking around more and more marketers are using this method, Very simple but even more powerful that other email methods. Anyway, how it works.
Your email marketing campaign is either cheese or whiskers. Your customer is a mouse you need to attract them to your content and your marketing (cheese-oriented) by not trying to sell anything or our customers runs a mile at full pelt as they sense whiskers. (same as a cat looking for the mouse).
The logic behind this is if your emails are all ‘sell sell sell’ then most likely it will just be deleted but if your emails is about news, sharing information, ideas that could help the customer then most likely the email would be opened. It is simple if your customers sense any sell points (whiskers) there off…
Attract your customers (cheese) with no selling (whiskers) this will give a must better Click through rate (CTR)
I have never been a lover of cold calling, not a lover of the calls I get day in day out, by using the Cheese and Whiskers method more customers will call you.
By putting yourself in the customers shoes would you open and email that is just all sell, how many emails do you delete every day because of this.
The answer is make all your emails marketing pure Cheese in a way to attract your customer to the mouse.
